Berlin is the capital of club- and subcultures, where dreams of freedom and creativity can come to life. But these free spaces are threatened by gentrification, unaffordable rents and an increasing lack of space—and local and global crises make it hard to see a sustainable vision for the future of club culture.
But in an increasingly polarized present, club culture remains a diverse place of refuge, community and optimism, where new worlds are being created. How do we stay bold, initiate change, transcend boundaries, genres and norms? How do we create places of strength, calm, and connection? How can club culture offer a sense of hope in challenging, chaotic times?
